Same people, same promise, bigger stage

MexaSoft Technologies began in 2004 with a small engineering team and a simple rule: finish what you start. Reputation, not marketing, brought the next client, and the one after that.

Eighteen years later the company had outgrown its name. In 2022 it became VFACE — a rebrand that recognised 300+ experts, offices across five countries and an IBM Silver Partnership, without changing who owns or runs the business.

Three eras

How twenty years break down

2004 – 2011

Foundation

MexaSoft Technologies starts in Tiruchirappalli with a handful of engineers, building custom software for regional clients and earning its first long-term accounts on delivery alone.

2012 – 2019

Global expansion

Offices open across Southeast Asia, the UK and the Middle East. The IBM partnership begins, and dedicated cloud, data and AI practices take shape.

2020 – today

AI & Ventures

The company becomes VFACE, launches its Ventures arm and moves enterprise GenAI, copilots and RAG pipelines from pilot into production.

Milestones

The moments that shaped us

  1. MexaSoft Technologies Founded in Tiruchirappalli

Rajan Subramaniam and a team of five engineers established MexaSoft Technologies in Tamil Nadu with a focus on enterprise software consulting for Indian manufacturing clients. Within the first year the team delivered three ERP integration projects, earning a reputation for rigorous delivery and on-time handoffs.

  2. First International Client — UK Logistics Firm

MexaSoft secured its first cross-border engagement with a mid-market logistics company based in Birmingham, providing custom warehouse-management software that reduced order-processing time by 38 percent. This contract established the offshore delivery model that still underpins every global project the firm runs today.

  3. Malaysia Office Opened in Kuala Lumpur

Rapid growth in Southeast Asian demand led to the opening of the Kuala Lumpur delivery hub, the company's first permanent international presence. The office expanded the firm's talent base by 40 engineers and enabled same-timezone support for clients across ASEAN.

  4. IBM Strategic Alliance — Silver Partner Status Achieved

After a rigorous two-year accreditation process, MexaSoft became an IBM Silver Business Partner, gaining access to IBM Cloud, Watson, and QRadar tooling for client engagements. The alliance immediately unlocked three new enterprise contracts in banking and government that would have been otherwise inaccessible.

  5. Singapore and Dubai Offices Established

To serve the growing Gulf and Asia-Pacific markets, MexaSoft opened regional offices in Singapore and Dubai within the same quarter — the fastest international expansion in the company's history. Combined headcount crossed 150 engineers for the first time, supporting delivery across four time zones.

  6. AI & Data Science Practice Launched

Recognising the inflection point in machine-learning adoption, the firm stood up a dedicated AI and Data Science practice staffed by 20 PhD-level researchers and engineers. Early engagements in predictive maintenance and fraud detection generated measurable ROI within 90 days, setting the benchmark for all subsequent AI mandates.

  7. VFACE Ventures Arm Established — 45+ Portfolio Companies

The corporate venture arm was launched to co-invest in early-stage technology companies built by clients and alumni of the firm. Within four years the portfolio grew to 45 companies across healthcare, fintech, and agritech, collectively valued at over $100 million.

  8. Rebranded from MexaSoft to VFACE

Eighteen years of growth across six countries and seven service lines prompted a full rebrand to VFACE — a name that better reflects the company's global reach and human-centred technology philosophy. The rebrand coincided with a Deloitte Fast 500 APAC listing, marking VFACE as one of the fastest-growing tech firms in the region.

  9. GenAI Practice Launched — Enterprise LLM Deployments

Building on its IBM Watson heritage and in-house AI research, VFACE launched a dedicated Generative AI practice offering LLM integration, RAG pipelines, and enterprise copilot development. In the first year the practice delivered 12 production GenAI systems across financial services, healthcare, and legal verticals.
