What Sage delivers

Chapter ingestion with OCR, LLM structuring and a teacher review gate
AI question generation grounded in the source chapter
Automated validation: faithfulness, LaTeX compile, numeric answer and duplicate checks
Paper assembly to a blueprint using a constraint solver (OR-Tools CP-SAT)
Pilot scope: Class 12 Physics, Chapters 1-5; Classes 6-11 and other boards planned

Pilot status

Where it stands: Phase 0 pilot, Tamil Nadu State Board Class 12 Physics

Early-stage: schema and environment are scaffolded; the pipeline and real chapter content are still to be built. No pilot results are published yet.

  • Scope: Physics, Chapters 1-5
  • Plan: all seven Class 12 subjects, then Classes 6-11 and other boards
  • Results will be published once the pilot has run

Features

Everything the platform does, by area

Ingest

Textbook to structured content.

  • OCR of chapter pages
  • LLM structuring of content
  • Teacher review gate before use

Generate

Questions grounded in the chapter.

  • AI question generation from source content
  • Retrieval over chapter content (pgvector)
  • Per-chapter question banks

Validate

Machine checks before a human looks.

  • Faithfulness to the source text
  • LaTeX compile check
  • Numeric answer check

Assemble

Balanced papers to a blueprint.

  • Constraint solving with OR-Tools CP-SAT
  • Marks, topic and difficulty balance
  • Paper rendering
  • Textbook to structured content.

  • OCR of chapter pages
  • LLM structuring of content
  • Teacher review gate before use

How it works

From first call to live in four steps

01

Ingest the chapter

Pages are read, structured and reviewed by a teacher before they become source material.

02

Generate questions

Questions are drafted from the approved chapter content.

03

Validate automatically

Faithfulness, equation, answer and duplicate checks filter weak questions.

04

Assemble the paper

A solver builds a paper to the blueprint, ready for teacher sign-off.

The challenge

Good question papers take teachers days, and quality varies

Paper setting is slow

Building a balanced paper from a textbook is repetitive work that pulls teachers from teaching.

Coverage drifts from the syllabus

Hand-built papers over-weight familiar chapters and miss blueprint weightage.

Unchecked AI output is risky

Generated questions can be unfaithful to the text, have wrong answers or broken equations. They need automated checks and a human gate.

How we build

Engineering principles behind every engagement

Teachers stay in charge

Nothing reaches students without teacher review.

  • Review gate at ingestion
  • Teacher sign-off on papers
